Member Spotlight: Sue Martin

If you’ve been around Ola Kai for a while, chances are you know Sue. She is one of our most dedicated members, and she brings the kind of energy to the gym that makes everyone around her better.
Sue always has a smile on her face, she shows up ready to work, and she is never afraid to pick up a heavier weight, try something new, or take on something that challenges her. She has a great attitude about fitness and understands that progress comes from consistently showing up and being willing to push yourself.
But what really makes Sue special to us goes far beyond her workouts.
Sue is one of our unofficial Ola Kai Ambassadors, and she embodies exactly what that means. When a new person walks into class, we know Sue will be one of the first people to introduce herself, start a conversation, and make them feel welcome. She notices the person who might be standing off to the side or feeling a little unsure, and she makes sure they feel like they belong.
That is the kind of community we have always wanted to build at Ola Kai.
Sue works hard, encourages the people around her, celebrates other members' successes, and brings a positive attitude with her every time she walks through the door. She is competitive with herself, willing to be challenged, and just as invested in the people around her as she is in her own fitness.
Honestly, we could probably just say Sue is our ideal Ola Kai member.
She represents so much of what we hope Ola Kai is about: showing up, working hard, trying new things, supporting others, and making the people around you feel like they belong.
We are so lucky to have you as part of the Ola Kai Ohana, Sue. Thank you for everything you bring to our community!
